We can’t guarantee compatibility with every surface, so please check your wall’s finish before applying.

2. Will it work on wallpapered walls?

We don’t recommend applying our magnetic chalkboard decals to wallpaper, as wallpaper adhesive strength can vary widely. If the wallpaper is textured or delicate, the chalkboard may not stick well, and removal could risk damage. If you’d still like to try, you can test with a piece of adhesive tape—if it holds securely, the chalkboard is likely to adhere as well.

3. Can I stick the chalkboard to glass or windows?

Yes! Our magnetic chalkboard adheres nicely to glass and other smooth, non-porous surfaces.

4. How do I install the chalkboard?

Simple Installation Steps:

1. Prep: Make sure your wall is clean, dry, and dust-free. Lay the chalkboard flat if it was rolled up, as this helps with smoother application.
2. Peel: Starting from one corner, gently peel off the backing while aligning the chalkboard on the wall.
3. Press: Firmly press the chalkboard onto the wall, smoothing out any air bubbles with a towel.
4. Enjoy: Once it’s up, it’s ready for endless creative fun!

5. Can I move or reposition the chalkboard once it’s on the wall?

Our chalkboards are designed for a single, secure application, so moving them around isn’t recommended. Once they’re up, they’re meant to stay put!

6. Will the magnetic chalkboard leave marks or damage my wall when removed?

Our wall decals aren’t designed to be repositioned, as the adhesive may lose its strength if moved. While most walls are compatible with easy, damage-free removal, results can vary based on wall type. 

7. How do I remove the magnetic chalkboard decal?

Our magnetic chalkboard decal is intended as a long-term addition to your space, similar to wallpaper, so it’s best suited for a single application. If you need to remove it, gently peel it from the bottom corner, pulling slowly to prevent any damage. Any leftover adhesive can be wiped away with a warm, damp cloth.

The decal’s strong adhesive ensures it stays securely in place, but on certain delicate or textured surfaces, removal may leave marks or cause slight damage. While we carefully design our products for quality and durability, please understand we cannot guarantee damage-free removal on all surfaces.

8. What kinds of magnets work best on the magnetic chalkboard?

The chalkboard works well with lightweight magnets and magnetic toys. Because it’s not as strong as a refrigerator magnet, heavy or bulky magnets might not stick as securely.

9. How do I keep my chalkboard clean?

To keep your Magnetic Playwall looking its best, simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth. You can also use a Magic Eraser  or Whiteboard cleaner for stubborn marks.

10. What can I use to draw on the chalkboard?

We recommend dustless chalk crayons (available in our store) for the best results. You can also use whiteboard markers, dry-erase markers, and washable, water-based markers, paints, and crayons.

11. Are colours accurate to what I see online?

We aim to represent colours as closely as possible, but please note that screens can show colours a bit differently. Small variations may occur.
